For Schitt’s & Giggles: Humorous Love Lessons as Told by Schitt’s Creek

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s time again for the hopeless romantics to queue up the best romance films to watch on this famous day of love. If mushy dramas or cheesy rom-coms aren’t your style, however, maybe it’s time to think outside the box and revisit a favorite binge-worthy series instead.

Gather your stationery and take some notes because you can count on Schitt’s Creek to inspire love this Valentine’s Day, and for the cynics out there who prefer to hide in their hoodies and ignore the holiday – at least you’ll get a good laugh and start feeling “A Little Bit Alexis”.

Relationships

At first glance, Schitt’s Creek is just a hilarious sitcom about a “riches to rags” family navigating life in an everyman world, but upon closer viewing, its sweet and heartwarming qualities reveal themselves.

The relationships in the show (friendly, familial, and romantic) become iconic driving forces in the story. The swoon-worthy moments between these characters will have you crying like a baby or laughing like a maniac.

Moira Rose

Iconic is an understatement when it comes to Mrs. Moira Rose. Moira always has a way with words, underlying her sentiments with the wry wisdom of an actress who was never in her prime but always at the top of her game.

Once you get past the bizarre lexicon and ambiguous accent, her touches of genuine tenderness and earnest advice can impact and inspire even the most pessimistic of individuals (looking at you Stevie).
